Gordon Claney again. Three out of 3 for the Sandbelt events thus far with a terrific round of 72 on the par 73 Commonwealth layout. He streeted the field by 6 shots with Kew's Stephen Valentine runner up with another shot back to Royal Melbourne's Alan Evans.

The Nett event was taken out by veteran Alan Evans (74) by one shot over Drew Simonsen from Castle Hill NSW. Alan reflected on the early days of the 'Seniors Tour' in Victoria when there were just 3 events, it has progressed a long way in a relatively short time.

The course was also in great condition for this time of year but again the good field of 83 players struggled in the windy conditions.
