Alan Bullas from Portsea won this years Melbourne Classic with rounds of 74, 77 to defeat last years winner Eastern's Andrew Hansen by 1 shot (77, 75) with a further shot back to 3 players - overnight leader Ken O'Brien from Rossdale (73,80), David Mallett from Torquay Sands (78, 75) and Bendigo's Ian Frost (77, 76). This was Alan's second outright victory in this years Bachli events.

The Nett event was won by Royal Park's Tugo Tucun (72,72) on countback over "Howlong's" Jim Maher (69, 75).

There were 2 hole in ones recorded in the second round at Woodlands - one by local Frank Palinkas and the other by Kyneton's Barry Murphy.

The first round was played at Spring Valley played in very warm conditions (34 degrees) and the second round at Woodlands in much cooler conditions and with rain holding off until after play.DSC00942
