Adam Charleston from Lonsdale won this year's Royal Melbourne Seniors with a 78, one shot ahead of 4 players on 79 - Gordon Claney on countback over Kim Johnson from The National, Mark Abeyaratne from Peninsula-Kingswood and Stephen Valentine from Kew. Adam is a regular seniors player but this was his first victory. It was a great win for him playing off a 7 handicap, there was a large field of 92 players and the field was strong including 2 Australian team members. He was most appreciative of the victory.
The Nett event was taken out by Stuart Allen from Peninsula - Kingswood with a Nett 73 on countback over Sam Gabriele from Northern.
The scores reflected the tough and windy conditions although there was very little rain.
