Ian Frost from Bendigo won this year's Metropolitan Plate with a fine one over 72, 2 shots ahead of Gordon Claney and John Wheeler from The National (& Metropolitan!). Ian indicated that he believed Metropolitan was one of the world's best and was very complimentary about how the course was presented.
Paul Fink from RACV Cape Schanck won the Nett event with a nett 71, 1 shot ahead of local Leigh Bull on countback ahead of David Elmslie from Commonwealth. There was a capacity plus field of 75, and as well as complimenting the course Paul was appreciative of the club to allow the 3 reserves who turned up hoping for late withdrawals, a game. Paul was one of them.
It was a cool start to the day but the wood fires on the first few tees were much appreciated. It turned out to be a beautiful day, and the course was in great condition for this time of year.
