David Robb from Corowa (78,72) won his first Seniors event at Shepparton with a fine par 72 second round to win on a count-back from overnight leader Ian Donaldson from Yerring Meadows (74,76). This is the second straight event that has been won by a regular Seniors player having his maiden victory. His acceptance speech indicated his appreciation of this maiden victory and highlighted the camaraderie experienced in the Seniors events.
Ray Falla from Nathalia (Nett 72.71) won the Nett event on countback over Paul Ansell from Metropolitan (71,72) on a countback.
The women's event was won by Helen Pascoe with 61 points 2 points ahead of Karen Lund from Kooringal.
The event was played in perfect weather conditions after the early morning fog lifted. The course was also presented in immaculate condition and the good field of 70 enjoyed the great hospitality of the Shepparton Golf Club.
