Kym Olsen had another resounding win in the Eureka Seniors following up on his victory at The National Masters last week. His 66 at Ballarat was an event winning score and 4 shots of local Buninyong champion Chris Tatt after round 1. Kym (66,72) won by 7 shots ahead of Ian Frost of Rich River (73,72) on a countback over Chris Tatt (70,75).

The Nett was taken out by local Buninyong member Ian Corcoran (Nett 70,70) on a count back over John Hoare from Pakenham (68,72) and Ballarat's Robert Cooper (70,70).

There were also over 65 prizes with Chris Tatt winning the Gross and Robert Cooper the Nett.

There was also a good field of women with Tina Cowie from Tambo Valley (32,42) taking out the Nett and local Buninyong player Helen Pascoe (33,30) taking out the gross.

This year the event was played at the Ballarat Golf Club & Buninyong Golf club and with a much improved field of 60 men. Conditions were threatening at Balarat but turned out fine on the new impressive Ballarat layout. It was a perfect day at Buninyong where players enjoyed beautiful Autumn conditions. There were some issues with the greens at Buninyong with promises that there will not be a repeat next year; Kym Olsen made a reasonable response that the conditions were the same for all players.
