Gordon Claney (77,70) from Kingston Heath won this year's Cranbourne Senior with a strong finishing & best round of the tournament 70 to win by 5 shots, ahead of joint overnight leader Kym Olsen from The National (74,78) who was just one shot ahead of 3 others Stephen Valentine from Kew, Greg Doolan from Rosebud and David Robb from Corowa.

Gary Easte who has won this event numerous times was one off the pace after round one but was disqualified when he did not not return his card.

The Nett event was taken out by Paul Fink from RACV (Nett 66,74) who had an exceptional opening round and hung on to beat Stephen Valentine from Kew (72,73) by 3 shots, with a further 3 shots back to Stephen Pettyfor from Eastwood and Greg Doolan from Rosebud.

The event was played in warm but calm conditions and the course was in its usual immaculate condition. Cranbourne's club champs had finished on the weekend and the greens were running particularly quick.DSC01301DSC01301
