Ian Frost has won this year's Bendigo Seniors Amateur with a 75 and a 2 under 70, to beat Ken O'Brien from Rossdale (73, 74) by 2 shots with a further 6 shots back to John Kelly from Metropolitan in third.

Ian Frost also won last year's event, on this his home course, and Ken O'Brien was also runner up.

2 West Australian couples who travel together playing Seniors events around Australia featured in the other results in their first Victorian event.

Matt Ferguson from Wanneroo Golf Club playing off 6 won the Nett event (Nett 74, 69) one shot ahead of local James Dalton (74, 70).

There was also a women's event - Lyn Bennett (Gosnells) won with 70 stableford points and her sister Glenys Ferguson won the scratch event with 55 stableford points.

The event was played in good conditions but the course was soft after much recent rain.
