Ross Percy from Cobram Barooga won this year's Warragul Senior Amateur (75,80) by a comfortable 8 shots over Ken O'Brien from Rossdale (85, 78) on countback over Eastern's Andrew Hansen.

The Nett event was taken out by local John Bundle (70,75) by 2 shots over another local Hector Melo (76,71) on countback over yet another local Bob Veitch (74,73) and Rossdale's Brian Gray (73,74).

Weather conditions were much improved over the previous year and the course was presented in great condition but there were some tough pin positions for the particularly quick greens, and although the fairways were quite green there was a lot of run on the sloping fairways.

In Ross Percy's acceptance speech he commented on the greens running at 12 and the fairways at 11.

The locals also dominated the Ladies event with Susan Rose winning with 58 stableford points and Glenda Kelly winning the scratch event with 33 points. Glenda is the wife of regular Senior player Tony and new life member at Warragul.DSC01035
