Gary Easte from Spring Valley had a resounding win in this year's Cranbourne Senior Amateur. After losing in a playoff last year he trounced the field with 2 fine rounds 68, 70 to win by 10 shots from the nearest competitor Bryce Birtwhistle from Sandhurst. He had good rounds of 75, 73 to be 3 shots ahead of 3rd placegetter fellow Sandhurst member David McDonald.

Gary is obviously in good form as he is playing in the final of their club championships this weekend.

Although Gary also had the low Nett score the Nett event was won by Royal Melbourne's Darryl Little (69, 71) on a countback from Robert Veit from Riverside.

Another successful event at Cranbourne - the course was in good condition, the greens were fast, nice warm weather and the hospitality terrific.DSC015951
