DSC015601There was another good field, although slightly reduced from the original entry count, for  the Kooringal Seniors played in good conditions on its postponed date of 25-26th February.

Ken O'brien from Rossdale (74,71) had a good event to win  by 2 shots from Kingston Heath's Gordon Claney (73,74). Ken's closing 71 was the low round of the event and the win earnt him the lead in the Bachli Trophy standings.

Paul Bray from Metropolitan won the Nett competition from fellow Metropolitan play Denis Long by 8 shots with two excellent Nett rounds of 67, 66. Paul indicated his 9 handicap was as long as it has been in 45 years and Denis also credited the handicaping system for his low Nett scores.

The womens event, that was particularly well supported, was won by Christine Doherty from Woodend by 11 points (36, 43 points).

The club put on another successful event and the course was in very good condition. Past great Australian amateur and local member Kevin Hartley was on hand at presentations to congratulate each winner.
